Travelling

Day 41-
Today was very uneventful as we drove to the outdoor town of interlaken, where the weather was too bad we couldn't do anything. The end.

Travelling

Day 40-
Time for skiing!!!!!! Well that's what I was saying constantly until I got there, fell on my ass, literally 2 secs after getting on the snow and then couldn't get back up....after I little temper tantrum and a sit out for 15 mins, I got back on my feet and continued to fail. Luckliy Doogs had a little bit more experience so he helped caity and I at least advance enough to go down a slope and navigate around flags. If only we had one more day I may of been able to try the mmore advanced slope. Jez had a snowboard and was having more trouble then us...had a pretty nasty stack and a sore ass out of the experience.
We traveled up to the top of the nearest Swiss alp to have a look (not ski) and was amazed at the ability of some of the skiers. To natigate down a huge mountain when you can only see 5 feet in front of you is pretty scary. Finished off the day with a home cooked meal and some battlestar. Failing at going out!!!

Day 39- it's time for some snow time!!! Today was spent travelling to the infamous town of zermatt for some skiing and snowboarding. After stopping for some embarrassing tourist action of seeing snow for the first time, after 20 more minutes, there was snow as far as the eye could see. We left galactica at the train station and headed on up to zermatt.
Our accomotiom at the jolimont inn was expensive but really comfortable and the view was worth the money. We headed down for dinner and as food is ridiculously expensive, I only got the soup. Bed was welcomed and was good to get out of the wet weather.

Travelling

Day 38-
Spent today soaking up the amazing atmosphere of Zurick. The train was expensive yet modern and we were happy enough because it was a double decker! After arriving at the main station we found friendly, helpful people at every turn. After finding out that alot of the actinides we wanted to do we not that available we decided to just take a walking tour around the city. The weather wasn't favorable however with a belly full of Thai food, a chocolate milkshake and some new clothes I was quite happy. Finished off the day with a home cooked meal of chicken stroganoff (meat is ridiculously expensive btw) and more battlestar. We promise we are going to be going out in the next couple of days!

Travelling

Day 22- this was one of my favourite days so far. One becauae we accidentally found a gorgeous restaurant with amazing food for once. Two because we didn't get scammed when we brought a colosseum tour from a random tour guide. Three, got to witness a Christian preaching and being shut down (no offense to Christians but I dispise when people think it's ok to push their beliefs on to random people. There were also a few eye openers other then what went on in the colosseum. One, it's was disgusting how much The city is falling apart. It's obvious that the church is obtaining all the money and not going to the people but I will investigate further when I get back. Two, the people are just really unfriendly towards foreigners. We have being treated like lessees beings the whole time we have been in this country.
Ended the day with a appalling meal at the camp restaurant.

Travelling

Day 21- A day spent mostly driving around the Italian country side on our way to rome. Not much happened today except Jez and I experienced the most disgusting lunch and had to do a sneaky run back out to the car because we felt ashamed by not eating it. Was a fail day food wise as we ran out if gas trying to cook dinner and had bought the wrong gas bottles! Fail! The camp ground we are on is called happy village, however there isn't much that is happy about it. I'm finding most people in Italy are rude towards us, more then France and Spain and it's very disappointing. It's making me appriciate Australia for the attitude we have towards people.
